To all Surrey Beavers club members young and old here is the list of what your club is doing in the month of December. Though the rugby season will be wrapped up by the first weekend of December, this does not mean that your club will not be active. In fact, your rugby club has something happening on every week up to New Year’s Eve.

Thursday, November 28: Decorate the Clubhouse Night – Let’s get the clubhouse looking like the most festive rugby house in the country! Some Christmas decorations, eggnog & spiced rum and good friends will make decorating a great time. Everyone is encouraged to come out and give a helping hand, and if you have any spare decorations (that aren’t broken) feel free to drop them off at the Beaverlodge.

Sunday, December 8: Breakfast with Santa – Have breakfast with fellow club members and their families. There will be Christmas crafts and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Please remember to bring a gift for your kids to put underneath the Christmas tree at the clubhouse. The cost to attend this event is $5.00 per person with all funds raised going to fight against Cystic Fibrosis. Please contact Curtis Fediuk at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or text him at 604-240-5025 to confirm if you and your family will be attending.

Friday, December 13: The SBAA Annual Christmas Banquet – Celebrate a festive meal and time with your fellow club members. There will be a catered dinner, Christmas themed refreshments, and a great time for all. $20.00 per person at the door, and everyone is encouraged to bring their significant other to this great night. This event is also a semi-formal event.

Thursday, December 19: The SBAA Annual Christmas Carol Pub Crawl – The Beavers will cheerfully stagger from one pub to another in the Cloverdale region and bring Christmas cheer to all. At each stop the Beavers will purchase refreshments and delight the crowds with a Christmas carol. We will also be raising money for the Surrey Food Bank on this night. It’s suggested to book the next day off work…

Wednesday, December 26: The SBAA Annual Boxing Day Touch Football Game – This touch football game is always a great time and takes place at Cloverdale Athletic Park. Kick-off is usually between 12-1 PM and will be confirmed the day of. Everyone is encouraged to bring refreshments and stay hydrated...

Friday, December 27: The SBAA Winter Classic Hockey Game - This ice hockey game is an instant fan favorite. Come on out to Langley Twin Rinks and make sure you bring your "A" game, scouts maybe watching in the stands. $20.00 per player and the ice time is from 9:30 PM - 11:00 PM. It should be a great time for hockey players, coaches, and fans alike.
